My Review

Ageless Derma has definitely made a concealer that I am pleased with. As a mom, I don't feel the need to wear makeup. However, with always having dark circles under my eyes, I think it's good to put on a little concealer every now and then to give my eyes some sort of life. Hehe. The concealer comes in different colors depending on your skin tone. It's not messy which I love. It rubs on nicely and hardly any is left over on my finger. I'm not big on makeup but as long as I have my eyeliner and now this concealer I think I'm good. I'm starting to develop crows feet too, so I'll be sure to use it on those as well. The best thing I love of all is that it is 100% pure minerals. It doesn't contain harsh chemicals and it makes me happy knowing they don't test on animals. The last time I really ever wore makeup more than just my eyeliner was in HS. Of course every young lady wanted to experiment with it. Makeup overall has come a long way and I love that a lot more natural products have come out. I highly recommend Ageless Derma's concealer.

My Review

I allowed my oldest daughter, who is 8, to first take a peek at the book and told her to write down for me what she thought of it. Here are her exact words:

"I like the book. It gives great facts about penguins. I liked the pictures of the penguins. They looked real. The baby chicks looked cute. They were black and furry. I think the book was a happy book. I like how the author wrote the book. He made it seem like someone was really teaching us those facts."

After allowing her to read it, I finally read it myself and I am impressed. As a kid, I know I liked books that had pictures with very few words under them. The pictures are all of great quality and fun to look at. The word count on each page is great for the age range of this book. One of my favorite facts listed in the book is: "Penguins do not fear human contact." Definitely a great read for a 4-9 year old. I know my youngest, who is 2, will enjoy having me read this to her as she loves penguins too.

My Review

I received this in the mail and once both of my girls were together, I put it in for them to listen to and INSTANTLY became Mother of the Year yet again. Haha. It's no secret in our household that both my daughters, my husband and I all LOVE the movie Frozen. We all also love the music. If it weren't for the music in my opinion, Frozen would not have been the big hit it ended up being. In my opinion, it pretty much made the movie. My 8 year old knows every song by heart. Even my 2 year old I will randomly hear belting out "Let It Go".  As a mom and someone who is really into movies with music (aka musicals), Frozen has become my favorite Disney movie of all time. I love Idina Menzel, so of course I'm going to love any and all of her music. She totally fits the part of Elsa, both character and music wise. Each song in the movie fits it's part very well. They are all very catchy. I love Idina's version of "Let It Go" the most.  I honestly never knew Kristen Bell could sing so well and I loved her as Anna. Out of all the songs on the soundtrack, I think Fixer Upper has to be my absolute favorite. It seems to change though every time I hear the movie playing in the background. "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" is definitely a family favorite. Whenever someone mentions snow or I'm standing at the sink doing dishes, one of us will just randomly start singing it. Hehe. All in all, the soundtrack is AMAZING. Disney did a really good job with not only the music but the cast.

Toyota has created a FREE program to educate both teens and parents about Teen Driver Safety. The main point of this program is for teens to get a first handle glimpse at what it's like to be a safe driver versus what could happen when you are distracted while driving. When I first started driving, we weren't in the age of smartphones, GPS devices, touch screen radios, etc. I was in a different age. Flip phones (and even beepers) were still the in thing and if you had a Blackberry you were basically pretty much rich in everyone's book. So I didn't necessarily have to worry too much about these devices as I never owned any.

However, I do know for a absolute fact that when my daughters become of age to drive, they will most likely be distracted drivers. One thing I have made sure to NEVER do is use my phone or any other device while driving in front of them. If I need to use it, I use it before I even move the vehicle or simply wait until we get to our next destination. In most cases, it's my husband driving though, so if his phone happens to ring while he is driving, he hands it over to me and I answer it. Our goal as parents is to keep our kids as safe as possible. Accidents can happen at any moment. Knowing that they see us being safe while we drive only encourages them to do the same when they get of age to be behind the wheel.

Although this program doesn't have a location local enough to me to go to, I can only hope by the year 2020 that they do, so that when my oldest daughter starts driving, she and I both can attend this together. I think we both can benefit from it.

My Review

As a mom who has given birth naturally to two beautiful girls, it's no secret that I suffer from incontinence. If you don't AND you have had kids vaginally, consider yourself lucky. It's not something that is fun nor am I proud to go through it. When I saw that Wearever was looking for bloggers to review this specific product, I was very interested. I am someone who always has to wear a liner to make sure when I cough or sneeze that I don't soak my underwear. We as women as a whole go through this and I'm confident that my review for this product will be one of the most honest ones you read on the internet. I was able to choose which design I wanted AND the color, so I went with the Smooth & Silky Seamless Brief in beige. They offer many other cute options for women AND even have a few options for men. Yes, men suffer from incontinence too. I tried the brief on and man, it truly is silky and soft. Better yet it felt comfortable. They weren't too tight and they didn't cut into my skin whatsoever. Of course you also get to order your own specific size. Thankfully these are not the One Size Fits All type of underwear. I noticed that the brief also comes with a built in pad to protect from those moments where stuff does happen to come out when you sneeze, cough, etc. I love knowing that these underwear are good for the environment. Absolutely NO need whatsoever to throw them away after you use them. You can wash them up to 200 times or more. I love knowing that they feel and look like real underwear and that I don't feel or look like I'm wearing a diaper. You can wear these underwear and feel good doing so. One of the best parts is you can save $$$. Who doesn't love saving money? I think this product is worth getting. The prices are pretty decent for what you get and as I mentioned before, there are several designs you can choose from. There's something for everyone.

I have personally tried these straws and they are AWESOME. They will save me money on straws in the long run.

Fire, S'mores & Relaxation, Oh My!

What is it about sitting next to a fire that just makes everything alright? Is it the crackling of it? The warmth? Just an overall good time?

Ever since I met my husband and the in laws, we have made it a point to sit out next to one every chance we get to just relax, have a good time, talk and make S'MORES. The kids love it which is a plus. They love being able to help roast marshmallows and put together one of the yummiest snacks ever invented.

Last night as I was sitting there, I felt content in that moment. Like everything was meant to be as it was. I felt like I had no worries in the world and for that short amount of time, I felt stress free. The breeze was blowing and although it got a tad bit cold, I felt warmth. Not just from the fire but just knowing I was there surrounded by people who love me and who care. I don't get very many moments like this especially with having 2 kids running around and keeping my attention most of the day. When I do get these moments, it makes me realize that not only am I a good mother but I deserve every bit of the relaxation I do get while sitting there.

I don't need to sit around and drink with people to have a good time. Just give me a fire and s'mores and I am one very happy, relaxed Mama.
