About The Movie
In Celery Night Fever, the VeggieTales gang learns some valuable lessons about
forgiveness:
Old bandmates from The Groovy Brothers, who have simmered in their own juices
over a decades-old falling out rediscover, their friendship. The nefarious Bruce Onion peels
back the layers of his bitterness toward the band and learns to be sweet. And Laura Carrot,
after cutting her best pal Junior Asparagus out of her life over a mistake he makes, decides
everything is better when they’re like two peas in a pod.
Each of them experiences the truth of Ephesians 4:12, the Bible verse Bob and
Larry share at the end of the fresh and fun new DVD: “Bear with each other and forgive one
another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”
The Bible has a lot to say about forgiveness – and not just its ultimate expression
of God forgiving our sins. Many other verses address the importance of us forgiving each
other and the benefits doing so brings to relationships. Everything really is better when
realize we’ll all in this big salad of life together!
My Review
When I first heard about the VeggieTales movies a few years ago, I was a little iffy about them. I pretty much kinda figured they were your typical movie where they basically try to cram religion down your throat. After having watched a few with my kids, I regret ever thinking that. They teach children about the good values in life and for that I must highly recommend the VeggieTales brand. The characters are cool and while they teach good values, they are also teaching kids that veggies as a whole are pretty darn awesome. I really enjoyed watching this with my kids and I can only hope it helps them in the future when it comes to disagreements with friends where they end up hurt. I look forward to the next movie coming out and was very pleased overall with this one.
